Yoga is for every body

The patience shown by the moon in the darkness of the night sky keeps it lit up, the patience
shown by the rose as it sits near the thorn keeps it smelling beautiful.
— Rumi

According to yoga: clarity, contentment, and completeness is a natural state of being and everything else is a deviation. Yoga therapy is an application of yogic tools to bring ourselves back to a state of balance which is our true inherent nature.

Yoga therapy employs many different tools including simple postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayamas), and relaxation techniques, including body scans, visualizations, and traditional yoga nidra. Each therapy session is customized to the individuals' needs, constitution, and ailments, whether physical or psychological. This complete model of therapy allows healing to occur from our grossest layers to our subtlest.

As a Certified Yoga Therapist, I have experience using yoga as a therapy for:

  • Injury Rehab

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Parkinson’s

  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

  • Trauma

  • Anxiety & Depression

  • Arthritis

  • Cerebral Palsy

  • CF Syndrome

  • Chair Yoga for Limited Mobility

During a private yoga therapy session, I create a tailored practice according to your mental, emotional and physical makeup. I draw from Ayurveda and the traditional yoga model to design your practice. We will start off with an initial intake, after which I will design your practice and we will schedule regular check-ins so that we ensure that the practice continues to meet your needs.
